Understanding the Mind of the Child with Lying and Stealing Problems

October 7 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Free

Lying and stealing can be fairly typical behaviors in children from traumatic backgrounds. They have often served to help the child survive in a world perceived as dangerous and ungiving. The mind of the child who resorts to secret and solitary behaviors may believe that needs and wants are not met by parents. We will explain the possible origins of these behaviors, and intervention considerations will be discussed as a part of this workshop.
