DESCRIPTION:Burnout is a risk for parents and professionals alike when faced with the aftermath of trauma. Take some time to fill your tank! During this experiential workshop\, participants will practice over 10 different activities for fun and restoration. We will finish by creating a sustainable plan for incorporating healthy habits into a hectic daily life. \nJessica Sinarski\, LPCMH is a highly sought-after therapist\, speaker\, and change-maker. Weaving user-friendly brain science into everything she does\, Jessica ignites both passion and know-how in audiences. Extensive post-graduate training and 15+ years as a clinician and educator led her to create the resource and training platform BraveBrains. She partners with school districts and child welfare agencies around the world to unlock resilience in children and adults alike. \nJessica makes social emotional learning (SEL) practical\, equipping parents and professionals with deeply trauma-informed tools. She is the author of numerous books including the award-winning Riley the Brave series\, Your Magic Backpack series\, and Light Up the Learning Brain. She also shares her expertise as a contributor to magazines\, blogs\, and podcasts. Jessica lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and three busy boys.

DESCRIPTION:Children’s Home and LSS welcomes you to attend this free meeting to learn about fostering and adopting children from within the Minnesota foster care system. This orientation will provide an overview of the process and addresses details such as children served\, timelines\, fees (spoiler: there are practically none!)\, licensing requirements\, and more. \nAdditional Information:\nAlong with completing this two-hour orientation\, you will also need to complete Foster Care & Adoption Education Class. Many families find it helpful to attend this orientation first because it is less time intensive and will answer many of the general questions you may have about the process.
