DESCRIPTION:Join Us for a Webinar: Medication Administration and Management for Children in Foster Care\nMonday\, March 10\, 2025\, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. (CT)\nThis presentation will explore the ins and outs of managing medication for youth in foster care. We will discuss: \n\nTypes\, names\, and preparation forms of medication\nRoutes of administration\nWho administers medication\nGuidelines for administering medication\nRecord keeping special situations\nStorage inventory\, and disposal of medication\n\nPresented by Shelly DeBaker LPN \nShelly DeBaker received her LPN\, Licensed Practical Nurse in 1985 and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Bethel University in 2011.  Those 40 years of nursing have included numerous areas of nursing from long term care\, inpatient\, mental health and operating room.  She has worked for Methodist Hospital as a RN since 2009 specializing in hospice and 2014 in oncology at Allina Health. She is an adoptive parent to 2 amazing kids and enjoys being outside and around water.  She enjoys sharing her medical knowledge through teaching\, especially fellow adoptive parents and being a resource for CHLSS.

SUMMARY:Pride Family Support Group
DESCRIPTION:The group was created to provide foster and adoptive caregivers who are part of the LGBTQ+ community an opportunity to connect about their experiences as foster and adoptive parents. \nThis group is facilitated by CH/LSS staff. Participants may have worked with\, or currently be working with\, any agency/county for foster care or any type of adoption (foster care\, infant\, international). We ask that participants who are currently in the foster care/adoption process be home study approved. This service is provided by funding made possible by the Minnesota Department of Children\, Youth\, and Families. \nMeeting Details\nThis group will meet on the second Monday of the month from 6:00-7:30 p.m. (CT). Meetings will alternate monthly between online and in-person sessions. There is no cost to attend. Childcare will be offered for in-person groups. You may register to attend one\, multiple\, or all dates offered below. \nIn-person meetings will take place at our main office location: 1605 Eustis Street\, Saint Paul\, MN 55108. \nFor virtual meetings\, you will receive a Zoom link via email the day of the meeting.
