We have rented out the whole waterpark for our group to have a great time sliding\, climbing\, and swimming together. Lifeguards will be on duty. Snacks and beverages will be provided. An opportunity to build meaningful connections and enjoy new experiences alongside other foster\, kinship and adoptive families. \nJoin us for a unique opportunity to engage with Jessica and Erica Bobrowski\, members of the Fond Du Lac Reservation who will be leading a variety of enriching Native American cultural activities.  As part of their work with ISD318 and the Anishinaabe Gikinoo’amaadiwin Ojibwe Education Program\, they will share their talent and wisdom with us through hands-on activities such as Ojibwe language number flash cards\, feather canvas painting\, Ojibwe number dice and learning about traditional Lacrosse. \nIn addition to these cultural activities\, youth will have the opportunity to challenge themselves on the ropes course and take part in other engaging outdoor experiences.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 6th Annual Foster Adopt MN 5K! \nWe are raising funds for the Back-to School Shopping Event and awareness for the need for families for kids in foster care. \nCheck-in and packet pick-up begins at 9am \n10:00 – Kids 1/4 mile run\n10:15 – Kids 1 mile run\n10:30 – 5k Start \nPre-Registration is required: 5k Fun Run 2026 – Foster Adopt Minnesota \nCost: $40\nKids in your family are free with one paid adult.\nKids shirts are $15 each. \nT-shirts?\nWe will have extra shirts the day of the event. First come\, first serve. DESCRIPTION:Identity in Art Youth Group is a safe space for Black Youth from Transracial Families to talk about their journey through Foster Care\, Kinship\, and Adoption with topics surrounding cultural ethnicity and positive self-identity. This group is facilitated by UMOJA MN staff and community members.\nWe will meet for four sessions in February. The Cultural Enrichment Support group by facilitated by UMOJA MN will give the opportunity for the participants to connect\, share their feelings\, life skills and abilities to conquer the world with other youths like themselves. The support group will give lessons on the importance of community connection\, ethnicity\, positive self-identity and being a Black child today. This is open to 9–12-year-olds\, which offers the ability to talk openly about age-appropriate and specific topics.  \n\nDates:  Thursdays February 5th\, 12th\, 19th and 26th.\nTime: 6:00pm-7:30pm\nLocation: Phalen Recreation Center\, 1000 E Wheelock Parkway\, St. Paul\, MN 55106.\n\nIf you have any questions or concerns\, please contact UMOJA MN at umoja@evolveservices.org. \nUMOJA MN is funded by the MN Department of Children\, Youth and Families for families and caregivers of Black children and youth who are adopted or fostered in MN.
