DESCRIPTION:Supporting LGBTQIA+ youth who have experienced marginalization requires more than interventions—it requires presence\, humility\, and the ability to sit with uncertainty. Existential Helping is a relational framework that centers meaning-making\, autonomy\, and authentic connection\, helping providers respond to youth experiences without minimizing\, fixing\, or rescuing. In this interactive webinar\, participants will practice using Existential Helping to strengthen one-on-one engagement with LGBTQIA+ youth. DESCRIPTION:What do teens bring to the table? What assets do they have since they have no money? First\, teens need to be seen beyond their needs while in foster care. They need to be viewed as experts in their own right from an asset-based perspective. This session is designed to expose participants to the concept of ‘asset-framing’. Michael facilitates a guided discussion on how to develop a strength-based mindset around teens.
