SUMMARY:Ready\, Set\, Launch! Coaching Teens into a Future They’re Prepared For
DESCRIPTION:Launching a teen into adulthood requires clarity\, support\, and connection—especially for adopted youth who may be navigating additional layers of identity work\, anxiety\, or developmental gaps. This workshop equips parents and caregivers with practical tools to guide teens toward independence while honoring both their strengths and their vulnerabilities. \nIn this future-focused session\, you’ll learn how to build routines that strengthen executive functioning\, emotional resilience\, and self-leadership. You’ll discover how to replace conflict with curiosity\, create structure without power struggles\, and set boundaries that inspire accountability and confidence. \nAs the world continues to shift rapidly\, teens need far more than academic preparation. They need emotional grounding\, identity security\, and real-world readiness. This workshop empowers parents and caregivers to step into the role of supportive coach\, guiding their teens toward adulthood with clarity\, compassion\, and confidence. \nDesigned with adoptive families in mind\, this training integrates trauma-informed practices and identity-sensitive strategies that support both independence and connection. It is rooted in action: real tools\, concrete systems\, and co-created plans that help families move from uncertainty to direction.

SUMMARY:Existential Helping: A Holistic Approach to Supporting LGBTQIA+ Youth
DESCRIPTION:Supporting LGBTQIA+ youth who have experienced marginalization requires more than interventions—it requires presence\, humility\, and the ability to sit with uncertainty. Existential Helping is a relational framework that centers meaning-making\, autonomy\, and authentic connection\, helping providers respond to youth experiences without minimizing\, fixing\, or rescuing. In this interactive webinar\, participants will practice using Existential Helping to strengthen one-on-one engagement with LGBTQIA+ youth. Through guided reflection and experiential activities\, participants will learn how to demonstrate empathy rather than sympathy\, “hold space” during difficult conversations\, and support youth in exploring identity\, values\, and purpose amid racial and anti-LGBTQIA+ trauma. \nParticipants will leave with:\n• Skills to deepen trust and connection through presence and curiosity\n• Techniques for holding space without problem-solving or pathologizing\n• Practical tools to support youth agency\, self-definition\, and meaning-making

SUMMARY:Cruelty to Animals: A Difficult and Complex Challenge for Foster Youth & Foster Families
DESCRIPTION:We are a nation of pet owners and animal lovers. It is estimated that 94 million American households own a pet. When a pet is mistreated\, it often feels as if a member of the family has been abused. If a foster youth hurts a family pet\, it can easily become a factor in foster families choosing to end a placement. In this webinar\, the various reasons and purposes of why a child might mistreat an animal will be discussed. Several case scenarios will be presented as a part of the webinar.
