DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual Mega Training on Thursday\, February 26th\, 2026!  This year\, we’re excited to feature Barb Clark\, Angie Erickson and Kate Rickord.  You can join us virtually or in person at our Bemidji Watch Party\, where you will have an opportunity to connect with other providers. Based on your feedback from last year\, Barb will be doing a deeper dive into Trauma Responsive Strategies. \nThis training is FREE for all participants and is available to ALL licensed foster\, kinship\, and adoptive families in the state of Minnesota. DESCRIPTION:Adoption weaves layers of emotion and experience into a child’s play and relationships\, often in ways that can be both challenging and deeply meaningful. In this session\, you’ll uncover how the Seven Core Issues in Adoption—loss\, rejection\, guilt/shame\, grief\, identity\, intimacy\, and mastery/control—show up in the play therapy room. Through practical tools and strategies\, you’ll learn to spot these themes as they unfold\, guide adoptive children in expressing complex feelings through play\, and collaborate with caregivers to nurture their child’s healing and strengthen identity development.
