SUMMARY:Reflecting and Unpacking Complex Behaviors
DESCRIPTION:Tragically\, the majority of youth cared for in foster\, kinship and/or adoptive care have experienced some form of childhood trauma. These traumatic experiences significantly impact how a youth develops emotionally and behaviorally.  Foster\, kinship\, and adoptive caregivers are often faced with confusing\, challenging and complex behaviors as they care for the child who has been traumatized. This webinar will focus on identifying the possible purposes of the child’s complex behavior and emotional responses. Considerations in supportive and healing caregiver responses to the youth’s challenges will be discussed.
