DESCRIPTION:Our Kinship Support and Education Groups are open to all kinship caregivers- those caring for a relative’s or friend’s child.  We offer both virtual and in-person group sessions.  Virtual sessions occur the first and third Friday of every month\, while the in-person sessions take place the first Saturday of every month. \nJoin us when you can for mutual support\, ideas.

DESCRIPTION:Black Teens in Action is a youth driven\, in-person program where Black teens can grow\, connect\, and take action together. Over four weeks\, participants will design and lead a community service project that makes a real impact—whether it’s hosting a block party\, organizing a cleanup\, or preparing meals for those in need. \nYouth will meet once a week for three weeks to plan\, gain leadership and advocacy skills\, build relationships\, and explore their cultural identity through meaningful discussions and team-building activities. The final fourth week is dedicated to bringing their project to life in the local BIPOC community. \nYouth will receive a stipend of $550 for their time and leadership if they participate in the entire program. SUMMARY:Foster Care and Adoption Education Classes – In-Person
DESCRIPTION:The in-person track is best suited for individuals who need or desire to complete their education quickly\, prefer in-person learning and/or those who have previously completed education and want a refresher course. \nThis track will primarily take place during two live consecutive days (Friday/Saturday) with minimal use of the online learning management system which includes introductory sessions as well as a pre- and post- test. \n
