Services Provided

When our families meet the PPAI requirements set by DHS, our agency provides them specific education and a home study at no cost to the family. Also, when a child placed within our agency meets the PPAI requirements, there is no administration costs to the placing county or tribe. We provide child-specific recruitment services for children who are in need of adoptive homes. Our child-specific recruiters work closely with the placing agency, as well as the child, to help find the most appropriate adoptive home for the children they are working with. We also provide post adoption services for families who have adopted in the past if they are in need of assistance finding resources and to be a support system for the family and child.

For our permanency and support services, we provide:

  • Support Groups – In-person and virtual support groups for licensed foster, pre-adoptive parents, kinship families, and adoptive parents in Greater Minnesota. Support groups are an excellent tool where families are able to share experiences and encourage each other in a confidential, non-judgmental setting. It is an opportune time for families to network, problem solve, and gather information on available resources and trainings.
  • Training – Host a day-long training event for licensed foster, pre-adoptive parents, kinship families, and adoptive parents throughout Minnesota.
  • Family Activities – Host foster, kinship, and adoptive family retreats, summer picnics, and winter celebrations. Family activities are a great way for families to connect who are experiencing the journey of foster care or adoption.
