White Earth Tribal Adoption Program works with ICWA children who are under the guardianship of White Earth Indian Child Welfare to finalize customary adoptions within White Earth Tribal Court that are recognized on the national level. The White Earth Tribal Adoption Program provides placement and case management services for children and adopting families.

Permanency Support Services
Tribal Customary Adoption Services Provided:
White Earth Tribal Adoption Program provides home studies for ICWA families who are a permanency option for ICWA child(ren) under the guardianship of White Earth Indian Child Welfare along with placement services, child-specific recruitment efforts, case management for adoption finalization, and post adoption support.
Wait time is based on specific needs of the adopted child(ren) and their families.
Permanency Support Services Provided:
White Earth Tribal Adoption Program will be providing post adopt support services for families who received case management services through the White Earth Tribal Adoption to finalize their child(rens) customary adoption through White Earth Tribal Court.
The following permanency support services will be offered:
- Referrals to service providers to meet the child(ren)’s mental, emotional, and educational needs
- Trainings for pre-adoptive and adoptive parents
- Respite care assistance
- Adoption Assistance reassessments
- Post-adopt home visits to provide family support
