[FosterEd] ADHD: Developing Greater Understanding for More Effective Strategies

This workshop will increase participants’ knowledge of ADHD including what it is and how ADHD can present for different people.  Through developing a greater understanding, methods and strategies for supporting individuals with ADHD can be cultivated and fine-tuned.

Kelly Pieper is a therapist, supervisor, and consultant in the Twin Cities area.  She has 10+ years of practice experience and 6+ years of experience as a reflective supervisor for newly licensed and unlicensed clinicians.  Kelly has advanced training in adoption and permanency issues and completed the Permanency and Adoption Competency program through the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare in 2013.  She also is a rostered Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) clinician and an endorsed Early Childhood Mental Health Professional.  Outside of direct clinical work, Kelly acts as an early childhood mental health consultant to childcare professionals and has delivered trainings to groups from 3-300 on a variety of topics.  Kelly is a passionate clinician who believes that children deserve to have services that are tailored, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed.
