This two-hour training session focuses on understanding the emotional impact of financial trauma on youth in foster care and provides foster care parents with practical tools to support their children. The training will explore how financial stress affects behavior, decision-making, and emotional health, and will help participants recognize the signs of financial trauma in both children and adults. Additionally, foster parents will learn effective strategies for managing financial stress, fostering open conversations about money, and building financial literacy in foster youth. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to break the cycle of financial trauma and create healthier, more supportive environments for youth in their care.
