[For Professionals] Using Icebreaker Meetings to Help Bridge the Gap

This interactive workshop will explore strategies for building and maintaining meaningful relationships and effective communication between birth parents and foster and adoptive parents. Participants will learn how strong family partnerships can support children and youth, strengthen family connections, and promote permanency. The workshop will highlight the Icebreaker Meeting practice as a tool for social workers to help establish trust, improve communication, share important information, and create a foundation for ongoing partnership between families.
