In-person Child Safety and Family Preservation Community of Practice Meetings: Fall 2026: Metro region: Roseville

This fall’s Community of Practice meetings will be held in person and will focus on applying Minnesota’s new Safety Planning in Child Protection Best Practice Guide in practical ways. The guide is not yet published but will be released soon. These sessions are designed to promote shared learning, strengthen consistency across the state and help connect the guidance to everyday practice. CEUs will be available.

Who can attend

These Community of Practice meetings are for county and Tribal child welfare staff. Please register for a session using the links below. Participation will be limited to 50 registrants.

What to expect

  • A collaborative, interactive session centered on shared learning with colleagues across each region. You’ll have opportunities to reflect on your own work, learn from others and leave with practical strategies for developing collaborative safety plans with families that you can use right away.
  • Department staff will also provide updates and information related to policy changes in child safety and family preservation.
