Based on your feedback, we needed to hear more from Brianna Coleman on this topic! This workshop is designed as a continuation of the previous session, Effective Strategies for Connecting with Hard to Engage Teens. Building on the foundational concepts we learned; this session will delve deeper into strategies for fostering meaningful relationships with adolescents. We will further explore themes of identity, development and social influences, equipping parents and professionals with more advanced tools to build trust and rapport in these crucial relationships. Brianna Coleman received her MSW from the University of Minnesota in 2018 and currently holds her LICSW. Brianna works as a clinical program therapist with the MN Department of Corrections at Oak Park Heights prison’s Mental Health Unit. She has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years and has grown passionate about working as a licensed psychotherapist with children, adolescents, and adults who hold marginalized identities. Brianna enjoys presenting educational trainings to a variety of different agencies and organizations on topics including attachment and development, severe and persistent mental illness, LGBTQ+ topics and trauma-informed care.
