Workshop Overview:
Caring for textured hair is not just a routine—it’s an act of love, identity affirmation, and cultural connection.
Curl Confidence is a compassionate, no-judgment, hands-on workshop designed specifically for textured hair. Led by award-winning hairstylist and educator Faatemah, this session provides practical skills, foundational hair knowledge, and cultural context to empower parents to nurture their child’s hair with confidence and care.
Through live demonstrations, guided practice, and open dialogue, parents will learn how to wash, detangle, moisturize, and style curly and coily hair with sensitivity, intention, and pride.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Understand the unique needs of textured hair porosity and hair types.
- Gain hands-on practice with proper washing, sectioning, and detangling techniques
